BOCK Training launches L3 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at the Trinity Art Gallery, London City Island

On the 1st April 2019, BOCK Training launched their BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, a 12-month course for students hoping to progress to higher education in an art and design related subject. This diagnostic course which covers fine art, 3D sculpture, fashion, textiles and graphic design is part-hosted at the Trinity Art Gallery, located at the heart of London City Island, where the fine art element of the course is taught.

Students have access to state of the art facilities, participate in a range of live industry projects and through intensive exploratory practical work, have begun to find their true voices as artists and designers. The Foundation Diploma in Art and Design is tailored to help students make more of an informed choice about their Higher Education progression, and provides a platform for some of London’s most hard to reach, to develop a professional portfolio of work with which to approach the leading arts institutions and employers, both in the UK and internationally. Students will showcase their body of work at the end of year Foundation Show- an amalgamation of the skills developed on the course and the start of many creative journeys.

This course is the first of its kind at the Trinity Art Gallery, which stands as the perfect backdrop for this influx of creativity. Founded in 2018, Trinity Art Gallery is a modern gallery in a new cultural destination which represents painters and sculptors with exceptional technical skills, talent and innate creativity- artists that produce artworks that translate to a global audience. The Gallery delivers confident contemporary and modern exhibitions which are accessible for everyone.

Trinity Art Gallery hosts a variety of important exhibitions in collaboration with renowned art galleries as well as events such as UNITY Arts Festival – bringing together the creatives of London City Island, Good Luck Hope and Trinity Buoy Wharf.
