The BTEC L3 90-Credit Diploma in Health & Social Care is a nationally recognised qualification which provides education and training for health & social care employees and for individuals seeking to enter employment in the health & social care sector.
This course will give you the opportunity to develop a range of skills, techniques and attributes essential for successful performance in your working life.

Assessment
Assessments will be undertaken via a combination of assignment work and practical work based observation.
To achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care learners must achieve a minimum of 90 credits. 40 credits must be taken from the mandatory units and 50 credits must be taken from the optional units.
Mandatory units include:

- Equality, Diversity and Rights in Health and Social Care
- Health, Safety and Security in Health and Social Care
- Development Through the Life Stages
Career Opportunities & Further Study
Learners primarily progress to employment in a range of Health & Social Care related roles. These include:

Entry Requirements
All applicants will be required to take an English and Mathematics initial assessment, regardless of previous qualifications.
Please note that universities are increasingly asking for GCSEs or Functional Skills as part of their entry criteria and therefore if you wish to gain admission to university, you may need to enrol on GCSE or Functional Skills English and Maths course. Please note that it is the responsibility of the student to ensure their current and future qualifications comply with the entry requirements of any university to which they intend to progress.
All applicants will be interviewed to ensure that the course is the right choice based on previous educational and work experience.
Financial eligibility
You need to have evidence that you meet the 19+ Advanced Learning Loan criteria or have the financial means to do so, if you will be paying for your course privately.
