L3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
Course Overview
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) allows you to practice as a fully-qualified assessor. It is equally suitable to assessors in classrooms or professional training.
Sometimes known as the TAQA (Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance), this is a modern, recognised Level 3 assessing vocational achievement certification that came to replace the previous A1\2 and D32\33 assessor qualifications.
By the end of this course, you will be ready for a career in evaluating vocational competencies for a range of qualifications, such as apprenticeships, functional skills, teaching certificates, NVQs, awards, certificates and diplomas.

Assessment & Course Structure
Assessment will be carried out through a variety of written assignments. You will also be assessed in a work environment, practically assessing learners work in a classroom or training environment where you will produce work products and audio visual evidence.
Your evidence will be uploaded to our easy to use and accessible online e-portfolio platform, which is available 24/7 on computers, tablets and mobile devices.
Your assessor will support you throughout your qualification and observe work-based practice on at least six occasions. They will assess evidence uploaded to your e-portfolio and provide developmental feedback.

Entry Requirements
All applicants will be required to take an English and Mathematics initial assessment, regardless of previous qualifications.
All applicants will be interviewed to ensure that the course is the right choice based on previous educational and work experience.
Financial eligibility
This course can be funded through the 19+ Advanced Learner Loan. You will need to check that you meet the eligibility criteria for the 19+ Advanced Learning Loan.
